Save Progress Feature ETA???
To Black Forest Developer, Its great to see patches still being released but after trying the game with my friends in Co-op, we are just turned off without a save feature. I search through this steam discussion forum only to find the most recent mention of a save feature coming back in Feb 2015. Its been a year, is there still plans for a save feature?

Hey Zanosan.

There is a save feature in place, unsure what you mean.
Currently there is a autosave feature that will save the progress of your char, levels and more.

There should be a continue button on the main screen and even come with a warning if you start a new game and there is a save in progress, if you mean that there is a save while you are in middle of a level then no there is not and that is part of the game.

Hope this answers your question.

Hey again.

Trust me I´ve been screaming and shouting at the game aswell for that, but we are Black Forest Games, we are known for making people cry of fustration and yet they keep coming back for more, sooo I believe we will keep doing that ^_^

The game won't show you that you've reached a "checkpoint".
If you leave the game in the middle of a level (or if you crash), there will be the possibility to continue your run from the start of the last level you've reached.
If you've done half of level C, killed many ennemies and picked up a great upgrade in this level, you will have to "continue" from the beggining of this level, kill the ennemies again and you won't have the upgrade anymore.

It is an option to "pause" the game and restart later at te beginning of the last level reached, with the same state you have when arriving in it.
If you want to stop to go to bed, try to finish a level and quit just after arriving in the next.

But, if you die, there is no "continue". It's a rogue-lite game. You have to restart from the beggining each time.

The only things that are permanent are experience (and level) and unlocks (upgrades and stories).

You'll definitelly finish it.

The main difficulty is to learn ennemies pattern. If you know them and don't rush too much, it's quite easy.

Moreover, there are some things to know that might help:
- Dash allows to evade some damage. Usually, it's better to dash forward (crossing a bullet) than to dash backward (you end up by taking the bullet after the dash).
- When leveling up, it's better to privilege defensive perks, mobility and support perks over offensive perks (at least while at low level). I recommand to get increased period grace and increased hovering time (up to 0,6-0,9 sec is enough) at the begginning. If you have the chance, be sure to take the double jump (there are some really great "rare" perks). The gold at start of level and the shield are good too.
- Don't spend money on slot machines. You can use the 100g ones if you really need life. The 250g are to be used only if you are before the final boss and don't know what to do with your money.
- Don't spend too much on max HP upgrades. They are quite common and you don't need that much life for bosses (a bit over 100HP is comfortable enough when you know the game and don't have a -50% Healing proficiency upgrade).
- Don't open a chest too hastly. Sometimes, you will have a better time opening a "door" (a closet?) than a chest with your key (but keep in mind that key-locked chest is often better than unlocked chest or pod as they can give only life or exp or weapon which may not be needed). Sometimes, the shop will sell a really great upgrade and it will be better to get it than relying on luck (sometimes, it will be better to rely on luck though). And don't open a chest taking your life if it reduces your life too much.
- Know the upgrades and weapons (and their bonus effect) to kown which to pick and which to leave behind. For weapons, I recommand to take some that can cross drone shield (mine thrower is probably my favorite, behind there are the boomerang and the flamethrower).
