This is an interesting one because I think it has a lot of potential but really missed out on the fun value. Its xcom like with a very generic post apocalypic setting. The most I can say for it is that it is a competent system with a decent variety of enemies and playstyles. I actually did like the out of combat exploration to find supplies.

Pros: The biocrystal system is really a cool way to customize your characters. I like the sound design quite a bit. I really like the Soverienty's vibe as the badasses in the wasteland.

Cons: Its LONG and tedious. I got probably 3/4 of the way through and did not finish after 20ish hours. I played on challenging which I enjoyed for the limited resources and harder enemies but the arbitrary turn timer is absolute BS and annoying. The story is absolutely trash and the halting weird voice acting does not do it any favors. The encounters are reaaaaly poorly designed and almost every single one involves spawning almost double the amount of enemies you started fighting, giving you no ability to plan encounters. My biggest complaint is that throughout the game I feel like I have so many biocrystals and no slots to put them into. They trickle feed you upgrade slots and overload you on the actual upgrades which was incredibly frustating. My final complaint is that the enemy design is very weak even if there are a lot of them they tend to acomplish the same things or just be annoying to fight, looking at you Shapeshifters.

Just go play some better XCOM alikes if you are looking at this genre like Shadowrun:Dragonfall, Mutant Year Zero, or Hard West.

Absolutely spectacular game with a great story in a post apocalyptic world, amazing visuals and gameplay.

This game CLEARLY takes inspiration from games like Xcom, Mutant Year Zero:Road to Eden and Miasma, all amazing isometric tactical squad rpgs and this one is no different, blending hard encounters with plenty of variation in enviromental hazards and opportunities. The biocrystal system in this game is also super fun to work with and can allow for some CRAZY combos, my favourite of which being crit chance and applying multiple stat debuffs per crit for example!

I'm about 3/4 of the way through at the minute and all i can really say as a negative is that some of the voice acting sounds off at times, personally though its not exactly a big enough issue to warrant anything negative tbh.

Really enjoyed my experience with this title. Very cool interesting story with very rewarding and satisfying tactical combat!
