WHERE IS MY RUSSIAN LANGUAGE?
Seriously, devs, what's the deal? I open the game, ready to dive in, and—BAM—no Russian language option! In 2025 (or whatever year it is now), how is this still a thing?

Did you know that Russian is the third most used language on Steam, making up 8.92% of all players? That’s right—millions of gamers speak Russian, yet so many games ignore them. Why leave out such a huge part of the community?

I get it, localization takes effort, but come on—this isn’t some niche language. Russian players are active, passionate, and ready to support good games… as long as they can actually understand them. Right now, it feels like we’re being ignored.

So, dear developers, if you're listening: please add Russian support! Your game is awesome, but this is a major missed opportunity. Until then, I guess Google Translate will be my best friend.

I completely agree. Level 5 should totally add Russian to the list of supported languages. It would allow more fans to enjoy the game and benefit everyone in the process!

Even if I can play it in my native language, I think we should be happy that the game is at least in English
Because Level5 "closed" in the West a few years ago (I'm talking about its Western branch "Level5 Abby") due to low sales.
So we're already very lucky that their new games will be (although translated into a few languages) localized in the West.
And I think Level5 is already taking some risk by translating into these languages, given their current situation.
So, yeah they should add Russian language, but it's already incredible that it's in English (and a few other languages)

I know some companies had to cut ties with their Russian branches due to the sanctions against Russia over the war with Ukraine. Not sure if that applies here though. I also wonder if the overly PR focused media is concerned that translating their projects into Russian could be considered some form of support for Russia in the war.

No, the entire world doesn't hate Russia. Most of what you see online or on news outlets is just politicians morally posturing for their own personal benefit. Unfortunately, there has been sanctions imposed on everybody because of that which has negatively affected everyone involved. I just hope the sanctions are lifted soon so that the everything can go back to the way it was before.

Somewhat unrelated but to add to the main discussion, I truly wish that Level 5 adds regional pricing to this game. Without it, this game is way too expensive in Russia along with other countries. Due to the high price, too many Russian people won't get to enjoy the game when it launches. :(

Localisation is super easy these days (I work in this sector) as it's heavily using AI + human QA post-editing. I understand about vocal localisation (even though it is much easier now); however, text localisation takes days instead of weeks/months as it used to.

So, this is a political move: By not choosing to feature Russian, they "punish" Russians for well-known events. That being said, there are around 253 million Russian speakers worldwide, and guess what—most of them don't live in Russia.

So this is a discriminatory act against a language commonly used across many countries.

a few bad apples spoil then bunch. Easier to not include it at all, and avoid mass backlash then add it, and get minor.
Is this the russian version of that troll post about ukranian language that every game has?
OP has a Steam level of zero and the account is locked so it's obviously BS. And even if it wasn't they seem perfectly capable of writing English so understanding this game in that language should be easy enough.

its always weird to me when russians ask for russian language to be added and usually they ask very politely and a reasonable request
and ppl go "ERMM RUSSIA STARTED A WORLD ? MAYBE GO FIX THAT??"

like america didnt throw 2 nukes and helped murder millions in the middle east for all those years and still a golden standard for all gaming
yes yes i know English isnt only spoken in America but you'd be insanely delusional to not even consider the fact it never got banned from any olympics same as russia did (And israel never got banned too from eurovision even tho it started 2 wars currently)

So maybe yall should stop this bs xenophobia and just think for yourselves for a little bit

Not only Russians are asking, but also Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Baltic countries, Georgia and many other countries. The Russian language is not limited to one country, Russia.
