Game constantly still "running" even after I end game

I thought I'd be able to upload a screenshot, but I don't see a button for that. My game constantly is running. I exit out the normal way through the menu and have already tried various things: hitting the "stop" button, going to task manager to end epic services, and just waiting it out. If I'm asleep for like 8 hours it's usually stopped by the time I wake up. I just slept for 5 hours and it's still running. I can't find many posts about this issue and when I do, the only advice is the go to task manager and end epic services. It does cause the game to stop, but then it will not allow the game to open back up because the easy anti cheat thing will give me an error. Has anyone else had this level of difficulty getting the game to end? The only way that works for me so far is restarting my computer and that's kind of ridiculous that I have to do that multiple times a day when I need to exit the game.

Someone posted this for start and end issues which worked for me:

go to the game files
open InstallScript file with a text editor (notepad)
on line 15, correct the typo (says instatll instead of install)
save the changes and start the game, it will start and close correctly
