Audio Stuttering while using Controller?

I'm noticing some painfully annoying audio issues while playing the game with a controller. This issue happens while in the world and in menus; however, I'm not noticing at all once I swap to keyboard.

Even while the controller is still connected and I'm actively using the keyboard there isn't any issues, but as soon as I start using the controller for in-game inputs, the audio stuttering begins again.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue and/or is there a solution? I'm currently using an Xbox One controller and it doesn't appear to have this issue in other games I play.

I'm experiencing this issue too, but with both a PS4 controller and my keyboard. I basically can't play with audio because it bothers me. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet!

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by audio stuttering but I had a similar problem, maybe my solution works for you. My problem was that whenever I was using my Xbox Controller, I would randomly lose audio entirely for a few seconds.

I figured out that this was because Windows detected my controller as an audio device sporadically and would automatically swap to it whenever it did.

My solution was to open the Windows Settings on System -> Sound, play until I lost audio, at which point my Controller appeared as an audio device, and forbid it from being used for audio.
