Since the latest patch I'm having Dualsense issues

ever since the recent patch I've been having non stop headache with using my ps5 controller. before the patch it worked perfectly. it displayed the correct glyphs, and the rumble feature worked properly.
Now, since the patch, no matter how i configure the controller settings in steam (enable/disable steam input, use default settings, starting from big picture or desktop) either it emulates xinput and doesn't rumble, or it just doesnt work at all.

anybody else having problems with this?

i managed to find a roundabout way to fix it.

I deleted two files in two different folders in Steam. Before doing the procedure, close Steam.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\config\localconfig.vdf

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\config.vdf

After deleting these files, you can open Steam normally and reconnect the controllers.
