Does cross platform just not work right now?

I've been trying to play this game with my family, they're both on switch. Every time I either join them, or they join me we get a communication error and immediately get kicked. Doesn't even last 5 minutes. Is this something they're looking into, or is crossplatform multiplayer broken right now.

Im currently trying to figure this out too! My mom is hours into her switch game and is now refunding it and buying the steam version so she can play with us :/ super not happy about it, why does nintendo crossplay suck so hard

or ATTEMPTING to refund it I should say

having the same issue but 1 pc player and 1 switch player other pc gets kicked when the switch fails, we all have the epic cross save thing activated and it's still not working, hopefully a fix comes up soon.

it always has since the DS, now understandable what they did with the DS and metroid prime hunters was fine for the tech at the time, but what makes it bad is Nintendo kept using the same tech up through the switch p2p doesn't work

my wife tried joining our son, and theyre both on switch, and they were getting the same problem...and it looks like nintendo is too stingy to fix the issue

Dang is switch - PC crossplay working for anyone?

My wife has it for Switch and I have it on Steam. If I host, we don't seem to have any issues. However, if she hosts, we end up getting stuck in loading screens whenever we try to do anything outside of base camp.

I'm on Steam. Wife is on Switch. We have only played together once for about 2 hours a week ago with no issues. That was with 1 of us on the east coast and 1 of us on the west coast (USA) also. So it wasn't a local network thing.
