Cooked Crucian costs as much as 1 unit of salt except Cook Crucian consists of 1 unit of salt and 1 Mysteria Crucian.

Cooked Crucian sells for 30.
Mysteria Crucian costs 50 to buy.
Salt costs 30 to buy. (Read that it can not be found anywhere for free except for buying it)

Basically makes crafting for money worthless.

Is it to stop mass buying objects and crafting to easy level up? Doesn't make sense how a restaurant would be functional in this world unless they literally receive everything for free...

I have 56 000 golds, not selling anything, just crafting and doing quests and i have only 4 hours.
Skill issue i guess

It's really weird because they teach you how to sell food and stuff but it's worthless since equipment sell for MUCH more

It's to the point that npc quests rewards are really bad lol why would I do a quest for 800 when I can sell the same stuff for thousands

im more upset about how you can fail the crafting mini games without runing out of time

Yeah, the fact that the cook class can't sell its products for a profit unless you get high quality unlike other classes is kind of odd. I'm guessing the developers did this since all the meals you prepare can be used as consumables and felt the need to balance the class by reducing profits. Other than that, I can't think of a reasonable explanation.

The fishing is the worst. Money is easy... pick either Carpentry and Woodcutting or Blacksmithing and Mining, and sell, sell, sell, easy...

I don't think it's that different. The main issue you have as cook at the start of the game is that it has far less free raw materials available - farmer is locked, and the meat and fish you can get via the fisher and hunter is limited by both the location and your level of the respective gathering classes. For the other classes on the other hand you can get a lot, and in many cases all, of the raw ingredients needed for their early recipes for free via the respective gathering/combat classes.
I'm not worried about needing money. My complaint is simply that it isn't balanced.

I'm not lacking in skills, wtf. I don't know how you extrapolated that I have issues getting money when all I said was to complain about how it doesn't make any sense. lol.

Weird, usually this should be only possible if you're below the required skill amount to craft the item. As long as I have enough I basically always get at least a + result.
Guys, this is basic video game economics.

The simple crafts don't sell very well.

This is gonna sound shocking to some of you, but literally an hour after you start cooking a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little meal that costs 40 gold and sells for 30 gold, you're gonna be cooking meals that cost 150 and sell for 250, and then 450 and sell for 600, but you can get half the ingredients yourself and make 400 profit, and so on, and so on.

This is quite literally the equivalent of fighting an enemy, using a potion to beat it, getting a potion as loot, and whining that you don't make a profit from selling the potion. You're in the start of the damn game. Keep playing.

Your skill is not high enough. You're upset the game requires actually playing it and being good at it and having good stats? Are you people for real

That's just one example. Not every craft needs to be profitable.
I'll be honest this DOES seem like a bit of an oversight, because most things in the game you can buy the raw mats and craft something to flip and always get a profit no matter what. Anything that sells for a loss is kinda contrary to the balancing of the rest of the lives.
This is obviously for balancing. You're applying too much real world logic when the balancing is built around the game.

It's pretty simple. A *general* rule of thumb: if you can craft it in bulk (e.g. food or other materials), it's not going to yield a profit. It would be way too easy and quick for you to buy mats, go to your workbench, and churn out items for a profit in no time flat. However, if you can only craft one at a time (e.g. weapons or furniture), it will yield profit because there is more time sunk. How much of a profit depends on the craft so it's a good idea to experiment.

Here's an easy, quick one that's available very early in the game:

SCIENCE EQUIPMENT:

BUYABLE MATS:
(ONLY AVAILABLE IN MYSTERIA CAPITAL)
suspicious object - 50g
science flask - 900g

RECIPE:
science flask - 1 - 900g
suspicious object - 1 - 50g

COST: 950g
SELL: 3400g
PROFIT: 2450g

This is all assuming autocrafting for base quality, ofc. And while you can craft the flasks yourself from scratch for a higher profit margin, it will also pretty much double your turnout time, so imo it's not worth it.

You have to think a little and put in at least a bit of work to make money. Expecting to just buy mats > easily craft things in bulk and make tons of money in a few minutes is ludicrous.
