is the coop for that one like lets say , stardew valley ?
player 2 can see all cutscenes/completes quests and have full permissionis as you ?
It sounds like it will be in the style of PSO or MH. You bring your progression with you and you play together with other "lifes" (players). I don't know exactly how it works.
cuz f*ing not paying $60 for ♥♥♥♥ coop
EDIT: dont quote me on story mode, this was over a decade ago!
i loved ni no kuni 1+2 and played the heck out of them but this type of game i have 0 interest playing solo i got a bf to play these with coop and i haaaaaaate when the coop is like "oh you gotta keep going back to your world to progress things or whatever"
Incorrect, you can't do the story or side-quests together in the original. I worry that may be the case here as well. The way it worked in the original was pretty stupid/limiting.
From the sticky thread on GameFAQs:

A Fantasy Life veteran (Bloody_Chaos17) on GameFAQs re-affirms this as well:

I also owned and played the first game myself and can confirm it. One of my worries/concerns is that they'll screw co-op up for this one too.
you either make actual good coop or just leave it as a singleplayer experience only imo otherwise it just disappoints
It wasn't "Play the whole game story with your friend" since the 3DS was mostly local connections and wifi where people were more active so it was whenever you caught up with a friend who also had the game and if they didn't have those friends in particular you would physically go to a game stores hangout space
Sure you could do a lot of that grinding on your own running back and forth but it was more fun with someone to join you while doing it and you all benefit
This is still better than having nothing, and the price tag doesn't change a single thing about how COOP should be.
