Question about female clothing

I pre-ordered the standard edition of the game and have been scoping out the forum before the release, one of the things i've seen here has been a supposed lack of distinctly female clothing options. Specifically no novice female clothing and a lack of purely cosmetic clothing options that were pretty common in Tailor crafting in the previous game.

To people playing now, is this true?

Clothing definitely leans heavily gender neutral, and I’d say there’s not really any purely cosmetic clothing that I’ve found but plenty of options you can make and equip as a cosmetic only instead of for the stats.

Thanks, I was hoping the game would have an 'overlaying' 'transmog' system and am pretty happy about that.
Pity about the gender-neutral thing though, I loved playing around with all the skirts and frilly options in the previous game.

someone stated a dataminer actually found female versions of outfits. there is a chance there is a bug and the game doesnt register your "gender selection" when picking the inner wear.

There are a few skirts, dresses and such-I've even found two different sailor outfits. I've also seen a belly dancer set of clothes. There just aren't different versions of each specific outfits, so it may take a while to find the ones you're looking for.
