Bluescreened? Easy Anti Cheat's fault.
Just got kicked mid dungeon exploring because EAC decided to dig just a bit too much into my kernel and my computer bluescreened. I know it was EAC because the error was kernel related and everytime I've had this specific error, it has been while playing a game with a kernel level anticheat. Dear god WHY must it be enabled in solo, especially while I am not using any of Epic Game's services.
Highly considering setting up a dual boot just for this game just so that EAC stops accessing the kernel. It runs on steamdeck so surely I can do that?
If anyone has successfully ran this game on any linux distro please let me know so I can perhaps try it myself.

From the Steam app, right click on the game, select "Manage", then "Browse local files". In the folder that opens you will see a file named "GameBootstrapper.ini", make a backup then edit the original. Change the line that starts with "ApplicationPath" (should be the first line) to "ApplicationPath=Game\Binaries\Win64\NFL1-Win64-Shipping.exe" without the quotation marks.

This should disable EAC for this game.

(This is based on the file to disable EAC found in the game's thread on Fearless Evolution, BTW; I didn't exactly test it, as I'll only be purchasing this game when it has a sale, since it came quite a bit more expensive than I was expecting.)

I wanna try this but TOS says no modifications, and I don't know if that counts. If I see anyone doing this and it works fine I may try it too. Thanks

For what it's worth, this fixed my issues with it crashing on launch after closing the game and still access my save file - launching it directly from the .exe seems to not detect previous saves otherwise.
