1) Too many developers don't do a good job intergrating it into the game which tends to cause irritating stuttering or excessive CPU/GPU usage. This includes bloating game storage sizes too. (Biggest Denuvo size examples are Sonic Mania losing 1/3rd of its total size and Doom Eternal's exe file being 1/8th of its size without Denuvo.)
2) Playing offline can be very hit-or-miss. Some games do allow you to play offline, others flat out block you from using your game, and then there's the games that allow you to play for a certain amount of time before needing to be online verified by Denuvo. Which is a big problem on Steam Deck.
