this update deleted my save file? Any help would be appreciated. For the record played for awhile, quit playing closed the game, came back to it later and it was fine. Today its gone, Cloud save seems to be empty.

not sure how you lost your save, what about cloud save?

There is a bug that causes nothing to be saved locally. Happened to me as well sadly... Only way you can save is through the sync

This is horrible to hear. I'll be sure to mention this in the feedback page when the game comes out because losing that many hours is pure pain. I hope you guys are able to recover your save file somehow.

check "appdata\locallow\level5inc" folder.

Sometimes it randomly comes back for no reason, like it did this morning for me

My game was still as I left it before the update, and cross play isn't even setup.

Hey I'm having a similar issue and was hoping to hear how you managed to go about fixing this? im 17.1 hours deep and the steam cloud is saying its empty? I really dont want to restart if i can avoid the issue

I had something similar happen, though I lost about 2 hours of gameplay. I had manually saved before closing it out safely, but then it kicked me back next time I opened the game (the 1.1.2 patch installed between these two actions). I am playing on steam deck. I would like to know what you encountered just in case it's the same deal.

Okay. So my situation is different. However I "Read" on the net or maybe a book. Start the game, wait a bit for it to load, like when its in full screen hit alt+F4 and see if you get a warning box from windows. If you do, read it and delete the problem. If not, you are not experiencing my wildly rare issue.

For now, until the issue is solved - I recommend backing up your save frequently.

Mine was located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\48191671\2993780\remote\002DAE74-00-gamedata.bin"
