That’s the next goal, since I need to 5 star the island anyway. My crafters were not built at all so I left it for last. I made my island flat with a bunch of water here and there so there’s that atleast.
Imo it’s a better way to customize the landscape of the island compared to animal crossing, but you also get less land to compensate I guess? Unless it expands later on who knows.
I watched every video possible, and I am also a veteran of the first game.
Yep so I had a basic understanding of what their short life story is. And I knew which ones to skip.
Don’t worry me too!
Same did you know some of the npcs when they ask you to do something (request), they have extra dialogues for denying them lol. Some are legit funny
cuz i was hoping a $60 game thats a sim life gonna give me the same amount of time i spent on stardew valley
I'm not a huge fan of basically levelling everything separately with no separate skills and stats, like do you even get bonuses for ranking up anymore? It doesn't seem like it, just for levelling, which you can do for any life picking herbs (boosted fishing to 10 just to make it marginally more tolerable)
The gathering lives changes are a huge miss besides the number bloat this game starts with vs the originals every point mattered, they all amount to mashing now. No rhythm of the nodes, no struggle against epic fish.
Why is sprint even a button with no SP drain and no skill, literally an analog stick can do they same and it was intended for controllers anyway.
Oh and the combat lives having mostly the exact same targets. Including boss level ones. Rather then magicians going for more magicy critters and merc going for dinosaurs while paladins done dragons and hunters done wild beasts. They clearly missed the point of that.
I just think so much character has been lost, like the devs behind this didn't actually get the design philosophy of the first one. Though I will thank them for moving attack and gather to different buttons, that was so annoying in the first.
Its an enjoyable game but its just been flattened a bit too much, far beyond modern convenience. See how I feel after the end, I'm dubious how discovering new areas will feel, like going to port puerto for the first time or the land of the Dark sultan...or a floating island..and then literal space with god on a farming platform where our world was nothing but a fruit of a tree (Kinda surprised they didn't make this a different nut world to be honest, that was so ripe for picking) then some ancient land through a magically door (which weird now seems to be the theme of so many things on this island..I'm wondering how they explain that). I can't see how that kind of discovery is going to fit in this game, like you can see the old lands on the map which is nice but I get the feeling we don't go there.
Just the intro, in this game. They ask if you wanna skip the intro of the life after the first one.
I skipped everything that was in the level5ch cause they posted the whole intro there anyway. Well watched it in my own time.
And then there are no more quests/story about the job so far. Until expert, which is really a bummer.
