I broke the game
So after you get to Ginormosia you are suppose to follow the quest.
But I didn't and head in the opposite direction, mining these stones, and then interacting with this weird fan thing.

Then the game froze and crashed making super loud buzzing lol.

Oh WTF the game is still running on my Steam and I can't find the process to close it?!
Okay, Steam itself broke, not just the game.

just reboot the pc it will force close any process
I just closed the steam executable and rebooted that, its fixed. I tried a second time around to see if it crashes again but nope, I progressed unlocked leafe stuff so its a fluke.

No idea why it randomly crashed but this time around I ran the game through special K without EAC to test things, and the save game works now with it off too. No idea why this morning the saved game stuff was having issues detecting it.
It crashed again when i continued with the story by talking to the monster in the desert for a mount.

You are removing the anti cheat you should be expecting the game to break. That is not supported so if you have issues don't even bother posting as you know whats causing it.

Stop trying to turn off EAC with third party programs and the game wont break. Simple.

I have also experienced this same issue sporadically. No pattern, not repeatable. Reboot of entire PC required. This was after 16+ hours of the game being played without a break. I did NOT disable EAC. Just launched from Steam.

It's a livekernelevent that triggered in windows.
The culprit is EAC or what is installed in EAC.

Description
A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

The thing here is that the game isn't pushing the system even that hard, but i notice it stutters a lot which causes frames to be dropped whenever cutscenes and such that functions at 60 fps were to occur. I could try tweaking something with the frame pacing maybe, but for the most part it is steam that ends up breaking, not any of my hardware related drivers. Had to end process on steam a couple of times already from the crashes.

Yup, the frame time graph is all over the place, this game seems to create really big delays of 40ms of stalls every so often when roaming the world, so probably need to mod the game to optimize this as it's using UE5 and may be unloading and loading the world excessively that it stalls the cpu.
Sorry of this has been said already but you might have to shut down eac after you're done play Fantasy Life for the day. I read that eac keeps running even after the game itself shuts down.

Because of that steam will still state that the game is running. Idk the process of shutting down eac but you should be able to look it up online easily enough.

It's kinds ridiculous how crazy this release has been. Do many problems with it.

It goes beyond the Steam state actually, I just tested it out again using lossless scaling on a smaller windowed mode to see what happened, and walked into the burning desert for one second and the game somehow froze my entire computer that I have to hard shut down and restart.

This means it is something in the kernel that completely bypasses the OS's operation, because it stalls the whole function of the computer, not even telling OS to close the game itself.

In previous games with crashes and bugs and such, it's Windows 11 that generally is in charge of intervening and closing the game when a crash happens so it can log it, such widespread freeze of the game bypasses the OS's ability to do so.
