Launching game on steam, but epic game store also gotten launched for updates?

So this is my 3rd time running this game on steam, but on every launch, it seems like some epic game store service also gotten triggered to run for updates.

I'm i the only one getting this issue?

epic games is the cross platform multiplayer service. So, it will update the files needed to maintain cross platform.

this game uses unreal engine not epic it self.
this game is not even posted on epic too buy.
