Did you equip the needle you got after the initial quest? That bumps your tailoring up a notch

Well, I think the store just gives the same one that you would get from reaching the first rank. If you want anything better, just get the smithing Life and craft a proper needle yourself. Well, after you first crafted a proper hammer to then be able ot craft an even better hammer to then craft your needle. Or well, ranking up again also gives an iron needle, which is just a bit worse than a properly crafted copper needle.

Darn can't switch lives trapped making the cape. Guess I'll have to figure this out or grind dosh to buy mats for crafting.

In this game the recommandend level for lives is actually no joke. I guess for combat life you can cheese monsters more easily but for crafting and gathering you really should always be extremely close or above the recommended level otherwise you won't be able to do anything and even if you do stuff it'll be either the worse quality or the lowest quantity and not be worth it.

I think it's cool because it heavily rewards getting good gear and leveling up lives whereas in the first game you could easily become a Legend in each lives (before DLC) without caring that much about gear and stuff (I mean you would, but it was too easy to stay on top).

Haha yeah I started my 3ds game but this is officially my first fl game quickly realized my best bet was either leveling my skill or in my case bought the bronze needle so will be prepared next time. :)
