FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time

FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Magician spells
I seem to recall being able to access many magic spells as magician in the previous fantasy life.

This one has skill trees. In the skill trees there are a couple spells and some element boost effects but no magic spell related.

Like I can get +10% to water damage, but I have no WATER magic? So what happened to all the magic lol ?

You can change your element by holding RB (i think) but i believe its not till you level up a bit. (dont quote me on that last part)

I got the thing that let's you change between magic styles, like defensive and healing but nothing that changes element :( I don't see anything that changes element anywhere for mage
Bump to see if anyone has answers lol
I haven't delved into the crafting classes yet as I wanted to finish the story first, but based on some of the weapons that have dropped, I think your damage element is based on the element of the weapon. So those nodes would improve the damage dealt by those elements.

Pretty sure you have to progress the life further.

I just figured we would see the spell crafting type thing in the skill tree. In the previous game there were LOTS of magic spells so it just seems odd there's just like 2 now plus changing between defense and healing lol

I'm also confused by this...the tutorial for the magician class literally tells you to swap elements if you're using an element an enemy is weak to - but there doesn't appear to be any way to change the element of your magic. I'm an Expert Rank at this point and still have no options to swap...

Weapons also do not appear to have magic affinity so I'm beyond confused. Has anyone figured this out...?

Same. I can't find the elemental spells at all despite being a Master and looking for elemental wands in the shop. It feels so wrong considering this is the class meant to specialise in exploiting elemental weaknesses.

I think you unlock them later as per tutorial. You probably have to level the class rank, not the level
Maybe Story progression for access to the elements? As Farmer is locked till Chapter 4 end, Artist Chapter 5 end, maybe we get them at the end of Chapter 6? Trailer videos showed elemental magic, so I'm hopeful we get it rather soon.

Nowhere in the tutorial did it say that

It does, when you complete magician tutorial. You might've been skipping em or not realizing they had more pages

It just says enemy elemental attacks and resistance. It doesn't say the mage itself can change elements. You can look at the guide, and it's sorted. The magician stuff are at the bottom and elements are at the top. So they aren't linked to each other.

It did say that at one moment in the quest, either before, during or after. But maybe theres a bug with translation and that was missing in your language? In spanish it did appear

I believe it was mentioned in the classroom during the tutorial. But they also referenced the original game in having to make contracts with the spirits to gain the elements. But nowhere in the tutorial do you do that, which is why I am hoping it is only story progression locked, and we will have the capability later. I just haven't played far enough yet to find out if will be able to contract, then able switch between them before the end of the game...
