What is this game?
So, genuine question but.. I've never heard of this game before. Don't know if it's a series, if it's a remake anything like that, but due to curiosity I don't really want to look up anything and potentially spoil any story related things. Plus, I think that passionate people can explain a lot better than looking up a review on YouTube these days.

So, as someone new looking in at this and not knowing much, is the game worth trying for someone new? I've played things like Stardew, Animal Crossing (quite a lot) and even a bit of Hello Kitty Island Adventure but I don't know if this is the same but with RPG combat stuff, or if it's its own little thing entirely. I'd love to hear some opinions. <3

I just played a bit of it, the vibe feels like a mix of The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Animal Crossing, but the story something about time-traveling explorer adventure.

I am new to this game as well. I somehow came across this game on Steam 2 days ago and just decided to buy and try it out. Seems alright so far.

Yeah it just suddenly showed up for me today and I'm like.. I do enjoy cozy games, and this feels like it hits a lot of boxes but I'm always really wary on full price games. Although hearing it feeling like a mix of Wind Waker and Animal Crossing does sound quite appealing.. :p4g_love:

What are the interactions like? My only worry with a game like this is that there's a wide variety of activity but it's all super simple.

If it's anything like that 1st game in the series, there's a wide variety of activity but it's all super simple.

That seems to be the problem with this game. All the activities are played the same and spam the same buttons etc.. All very simple and easy.

Had the same problem on the original back on the 3DS.

Fantasy Life i is a JRPG produced by LEVEL-5 (Professor Layton, Ni no Kuni, Inazuma 11, etc.) This is the second entry in the series (third, but we don't count the mobile game,) but you do not need to have played the previous game to understand this one. It's best described as a single-player MMORPG in terms of content and experience: huge open world, professions to learn and grow in, quests and an overarching plot. It also has online multiplayer with crossplay between consoles, for up to four players. In addition to the JRPG aspects, it has a strong customization element in designing your character, your home, and the island you live on. It is a game with a lot of content (I have 700 hours in the first game,) but some may find it too repetitive or grind-y for their taste. I hope this overview helps to understand the game better!

I find this trailer to be the most comprehensive, if you prefer a video:

Thank you for the big explanation <3

Your description after watching that video really does explain it perfectly, and seeing everything has me pretty much sold. I never could have thought this game would have so much depth, and knowing the first game gave you 700 hours of enjoyment really gives me a lot of confidence that I could sink a lot of time into this game. I'm glad I made this discussion because this kind of comment was exactly what I was hoping for. :p4g_smiling:
