The price is not right
$60 for a game with no demo and right out of the gate NOT WORTH $60 specially when you have 2 kids that both want it. Thats gouging!

It released like that on the DS with the first one, why would this be any different?
$60 games without a demo is, unfortunately, pretty standard nowadays.

I did read in the descriptions, however, that there's some sort of feature that can be used if you have two controllers and no internet connection? It sure sounds like local co-op.

"If you have two controllers, you can also use the 2 Player Family Co-op feature where one player can join the adventure as your travel companion without needing to connect online!"

$60 for a game without a demo has been standard for like 30 years. No, a rental is not a demo.
Its still ridiculous price, its not just this game either... its just going to be a straight up NO WAY drop it to 25 and Ill buy 3 copies.
Any game you buy on steam is a rental, they take the game down you dont get to keep it. Thats like a long term rental -- just like this game.

A game on steam is a licensed product. A rental needs to be returned by a certain time or you must pay more to keep it longer, or pay penalties. Sorry, I know not everyone remembers Blockbuster games, that's a rental. Either way, still not a demo.
I got to say.....this game is worth it. I dont say that often. This game IS worth it.

Isn't life/everything we do an extended demo/rental if you sit down and think about it? I mean (sadly) no one lives forever so like, once your time comes your "demo/rental" expires, no?
it only hurts your wallet cause you gotta pay twice for it huh.... well tell the kids they gotta share one for now

I mean I'm as excited for it as the next guy, but how can you know that? It's only been playable for fifteen minutes or so.

Do demos even exist anymore?

It seems like it has some sort of local co-op mode just for this purpose:
"If you have two controllers, you can also use the 2 Player Family Co-op feature where one player can join the adventure as your travel companion without needing to connect online!"

This. They can play local together on the same system. I don't see the problem.
PS2 games were $50 back then...$60 is nothing today compared to $50 20-25 years ago. We've been paying these prices for decades
