It's because it's a Level 5 Inc. game. Which is btw an independent studio.

The price is so high because all games cost more these days. Go on twatter and yell at the orange bastard and the Russian despot if you want prices to go down.

It's okay, bro, ask your mom for an advance on your allowance.

No, the price for this game is high due to lack of regional pricing. :steamfacepalm:

Cel is from Vietnam so the game is more expensive over there since it matches the price for $USD. The monthly wages in Vietnam don't match USD due to economical issues yet the prices for both regions are matched. It is a problem for a lot of people in general like those living in Canada, Australia, etc. There are even threads in this forum made by Polish, Russian, and others users that highlighted this issue.

oh different region yeah I wish more devs adjusted for regional prices
Level 5 have a similar development philosophy and quality standard as Nintendo, so it's not wrong to think of it as a Nintendo-like game if that helps. If not, you can always wait for a potential sale.

I was afraid that most of you guys will misunderstand my confusion as an insult toward the game. Thank you for your politely, taking your time explaining the price tag.
I did some reseach and found out this series was a part of many people's childhood but not in my country, This series deserved a brand new game, i'll buy it when the game come out.

I'm happy I could help you! =)
I'll admit this game was quite expensive for me ( Price = $100+ CAD) so I completely understand waiting for a sale later on. It's a relief to hear that the negative replies didn't give you a bad impression of the game.

It's so sad regional pricing became raw currency conversion of USD to "your local currency" nowadays, and Valve do nothing. Regional pricing rules in 2013-2016 when many countries started get "fair price" from Valve and Valve boasted about fighting piracy by game availability & "fair price"

New Fatal Fury game cost 1/2 of average monthly salary of many province where I live. Even at 50%, people there won't buy it.

The price is where it should be because the game offers much more than what first meets the eye. On the surface, or if you aren't very observant (like some people on here that cry about the price) it looks like its some Zelda link's awakening ripoff or something, but it's actually more than that.

If you know, you know.

People can legit play Dinkum and get more out of that game for a fraction of the price tag this game is asking..

Why are all JRPG's so expensive with shallow game mechanics and ultra similar art styles or graphic fidelity?

This game straight up looks like a mobile game that should either be free with a gem cash shop for speeding up activities or it should at MOST be 25$.

Neither of them have anything to do with pricing. Very low iq post tbh. $60 pricing has been the standard well before 2016 and greed/incompetency/fund mismanagement is the only reason devs want it to be higher.

The 3DS Fantasy Life had a ton of content while being really fun. I don't actually remember what it sold for back in 2014 but I played the game a lot. I personally think the game should be $40 at most considering it's not a well known series.
