Yeah, it removes some tactics and adds some others to have hero switching. I thought it was weird when i started playing the game, but now i like it. You have to put a lot more thought into your team composition because you cant just change it.

Hero swapping will be possible in custom (if the person setting up the server/map allows it) and in friendly mode only. It is turned off currently while we fix some bugs with it. Ranked will not have this, as was pointed out above, tactical choices matter and that includes what heroes you choose to bring out into the battlefield =). Don't forget, when you hero swap you lose ALL special blocks and role blocks you placed. Only your basic building blocks (wood/brick/sandbag) will stay. If you placed turrets, spawns , health or whatever else they get destroyed upon swapping.
