Mystery Space
I am stumped on the Mystery Space maps.

Im not even sure how to start with the timer and the missile launchers. Can I get a hint on some sort of strategy to deal with them? The are the only ones I dont have completed and I just have gotten nowhere with them.

At first I thought maybe I was missing a building or something but I think I have all the ones I can unlock without the Mystery Space buildings.

you are more than welcome to come to the discord and discuss all sort of strategies!

but if you want a hint for mystery space 01, check why the middle tower is not firing, because if it did, it would destroy the bomb!

then you’d be able to unlock the bomb and use it in the other maps to unlock new tiles too

Yeah, thats what I was trying yesterday but I couldnt figure out how to make it fire. I saw that it wasnt and why, just not how to do anything about it. At least I know I was on the right track.

Thanks for the tip.

No idea what the above hint is supposed to mean. The middle tower is not firing, there's no rhyme or reason why.

spoiler

the tile is placed on a spot that has a debuff that disallows it from running. the solution is to counter the de buff with another tile so it runs and fires against the bomb

If anything, this highlights how bad it is to have tiles' buffs/debuffs disappear from our view when something is built on that tile. It's not just about this puzzle. It's also the case when I bomb an existing building and, oh surprise, the tile under it offers a major buff.

Back to this puzzle, the only path I see to make it work involves having so much money that I'll never have that amount in under 6 minute. (I'm surely not the best player around, but I can beat a tiny map in under 30 minute, if that means anything.) So I'll assume the path I see is not the only one, a less expensive path involves something as "obvious" as a tile debuff hidden under a building, that I'm also totally missing.

The worst part of all this is that usually, I'm a fan of puzzles. :/

oh man this is great feedback ! you should join our discord !

i’ll see if i can add a special icon or effect to denote that the underlining tile has a buff.

as for the solution of this puzzle in particular, yes, it involves a bit of investigation of the existing tiles around the map, but the money amount needed to destroy the bomb can be obtained with just using the production buffs in the existing tiles. It is not so easy but not that hard either. We consider this the hardest puzzle tho

i’ll se what we can do about tile buffs !

I give up. I'm clearly overlooking some sort of interaction that would instantly solve it.

I'd rather not be given the solution, the resulting eye roll/cringe could be fatal.

Just click on every tiles before starting. I do that on the daily/monthly maps, in order to plan where to put my bricks :D

We can also change the initial level load animation so these powers are shown first.

We can also work on a toggle to hide/show tiles too !

That was going to be my suggestion, tap a key, see the naked tiles.

Clicking everything is either time lost when nothing is hidden, or a headache when multiple tiles have multiples bonus. I need to see everything to plan things. I can keep a mental map if there's 1-2 such tiles but more than that, it usually means multiple rounds of clicking. Which should not be needed.

Time lost? You can do it before the map timer starts and it takes 5 secs or so.

I'm not talking about the game clock, even in the middle of a game, you can pause it. I'm talking about sitting there and clicking things, to get info that should be available in other ways. You know, to save time, the opposite of wasting time.

totally agreed. let’s ship it in the next update
