Hi, I'm afraid we will not be able to include New york as we are focusing on European ports at the moment. Maybe when we make "World Ship Simulator" we can move towards that.

I'll look into southampton, i'm from portsmouth/ southampton area so I know it well. I'll also see about Venice.

All the best,
Chris

Well, I was actually planning on making a Cruise Ship simulator recently, I haven't started any actual coding yet, just preparing some models, so I have a few cruise ships I can mod in, but I also have a full Solent model, as aswell, I live there (Hythe) so I know the area very well, it would be cool if you were to ever ask for it :P I'd love to help!

Papenburg/ Germany and the River Ems up to Emden . Thats where they pull the big cruise ships through. Actually pretty impressive...

You are driving home in your car late at night, minding your own business, suddenly you see a big ship fully illuminated in the middle of nothing, 70 km away from the Northsea.

They only have a small window of opportunity to carry out that operation and need a good high tide and the right winds. They remove some bridges, at the tightest spots there is barely enough room for a sheet of paper - stern first - only small tugs and thousands of people watching your every move...

Also the Great Belt Area, Kiel Kanal, Skaw (Skagen, Denmark), maybe some extreme tide ports from UK and France. Definitely Gibraltar! The infamous Giglio Island off Italy ^^

Other impressive and intersting Areas:
Drammen,Trondheim, Mongstad - Norway
Aberdeen of the Scots
Bulogne Sur Mer (or so), Foz sur Mer, France
Istanbul and the Bospurus, watch for the crazy ferry skippers though!
Duisburg, Germany -> yes, its hundreds of kilometers away from the sea, but some coaster vessels (about 2300 GT) can reach it from Rotterdam via Maas and the Rhine.

Basically, give me a half decent map editor and I shall rest no longer until Iall of those are finished \o/

Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Rijeka...it would be nice to see them, If you are already planning to make Venice

I agree, I'd love to see Dubrovnik and Split, in the game, also, just thought maybe Lisbon? It would be really cool sailing under the bridge :P

immingham as there shifting sands in the humber and strong currents. quote by mariners who navigate this shows its must have port in the game to test virtual mariners navigation skills. Add the strong winds that can be present makes it even more hazardous.

The River Humber is said to be one of the most dangerous navigable rivers in the world. It is not surprising that even the most experienced of navigators can be caught out by its shifting sands and seven knot currents.
