Music - GM or Ripped Redbook?

Back when I bought the original of Blood in '97 I remember the game having 2 modes of background music. If the CD was in the drive the game would use the Redbook audio on it, but if the cd drive was empty the game would use General MIDI tracks.

I'm guessing that as it is a DOSBox version that it uses the GM music, but I'm hoping that it was at least tinkered with a little for the Redbook audio. Can anyone confirm?

I remember Shadow Warrior doing the same thing back in '97 but Duke only had the main Menu as CD audio.

It uses Ripped Redbook and MIDI, depending on the way you configure it.

The CD music which is the default choice has problems (tracks don't often play at all, volume is too loud and cannot be adjusted), but the MIDI music works nicely.

Thanks guys, yeah I've witnessed the music for myself now. Wish the Redbook was handled a bit better, can't have everything though :)
