I would only see DE going through with a remaster (possibly even a remake) if they had full ownership of Dark Sector. They could then implement the story directly into Warframe or possible link Dark Sector with Warframe somehow for hardcore players.
ye it would be cool i was mainly wanting more of old de linear based games.;/… its hard to pitch a lot of these ideas, not sure in terms of aesthetic what they could do story wise, i wouldve liked more stealth takedowns or stealth mechanics,
idek if de owns the rights i assume they still do.
i know most of the old creators left & only a few who work for de now are only focused on warframe.
from what ive seen in this industry, i sense it may be too late to do another linear story type game, and with all the world wide layoffs of studios ie private division etc, i worry how successful de will be with the industry caring more about pleasing higher ups, then crafting rich stories.
i never cared for warframe, but its art style is interesting theres so many game devs trying to pull off the online loot centric skin or weapon based, games that loses a lot of fun centric charms that most games had a decade ago,😞 so in summary i would prefer a remaster or another linear based story game…
another annoying problem was de has abandoned the darkness ip & i really think the darkness 2 is de’s best game that theyve made,
we will see what happens next but getting a bit burned out by all these companies becoming online centric focused instead of getting backed by a studio who has passion. maybe dark sector will be a thing of the past like many other story games unfinished.
again tho… i know most of the old creators left & only a few who work for de now are only focused on warframe.
from what ive seen in this industry, i sense it may be too late to do another linear story type game.
warframe killed any hope for linear story type games🤷🏻♂️ & warframe isnt better its another boring…. slop the industry wants to make with loot & cosmetics.
I often don't use a lot of frame powers or the movement systems, just play it as a semi-tactical cover shooter, relying on my guns and armor to get through the game. Totally a valid way to play the game, you don't have to play Warframe the way it was designed to be played.
again i see how a small minority of ppl that like this game play it… but its not a game we would have gotten a decade ago full of rich stories, or the worlds that game devs create offering unique & interesting atmospheres to them… kinda why hl2 is a old game but a cult classic, once trends became a thing ppl jumped like lemmings to follow its fad. everyone who wanted to make a online server centric experience while also being part of tencent ruined any hope i had for the classic de team, hell even the ppl who made darkness 2 moved on, its sad because i know they prolly could’ve expanded upon a sequel or new story ip, & could have done more linear games but thats the problem with the game industry… its no longer about fun experiences, its similar to how once they started making horse armor, & battle royale… games, or bad game designing techniques, or s**** matchmaking, or bad multiplayer games you lose said charm.😞games are supposed to make you feel these experiences put yourself in a characters shoes. im still mad darkness 3 is just no longer salvageable…. without old de team nor will it ever happen.
