Dark Sector

Dark Sector

game almost works on steam deck
game plays great but cutscenes make it crash. if you are fast you can skip the cutscenes and skip the crash. would love for this to work well on steam deck. graphics are maxed and fan runs cool. no crazy gpu heat at at all. running on proton ge 7.4.1

how far in game are you? are you playing on a Steam Deck? What proton are you using?

I have an issue where the controller is causing the game to have lag spikes. But when I switch to a keyboard configuration, the lag goes away.

It worked great for me with perfect 60 fps cutscenes and all but now im in a game breaking bug where it crashes every single time i walk into this room and I can regenerate it every single time so its deff a game bug and I cant fix it

I fixed it I had to use proton 7.0-6 using that i stopped the crash :)

That's a shame. I just learned that this game is on Steam. I see lots of noobs saying it was good to play it on X360. Sad that they don't know better. On PS3 you get to enjoy this game with SIXAXIS and control the shurikens wish motion control. So satisfying back in the day. If only it worked properly on Steam Deck to use its motion controls. That'd be optimal!

Oh ♥♥♥♥. I have been playing this on PC forever but I did play it on PS3 first. I forgot you could use the gyro to control the glaive.

Yeah. haha If you get a chance to buy cheap PS3, go for it. It'll be years until Konami ports MGS4 to PC, so you get to enjoy that as well as Dark Sector with SIXAXIS.

I am pretty sure I have both of those games still. They are just in storage. I just emulate them on PC for now.
For ROG Ally owner's to play Dark Sector, press play. Enjoy

Yeah I thought about getting one of those but ASUS and ROG have a really bad track record and customer service. If the device ever has any issues it would be a nightmare for me to get fixed. Valve has been doing amazing customer service forever so I am a lot more comfortable with their device. I mean If I really wanted to play this game I could install windows on my deck but I am just being lazy
