16x9 resolution fix

If you are using a 16x9 resolution such as 1920x1080 like I am, you will notice that the game will still not scale right on your screen, cutting off inches from the top of the screen and probably other sides. Here is the fix.

1: Open
...\Dark Sector\Configs\DS.cfg
in notepad

2: Put the following line under the
[Windows_Config,/Types/Config]
Graphics.DisplayAspectRatio=FullScreen4x3

and Save.

Yeah, seems that Aspyr messed with the Aspect ratio and 4:3 an 16:9 are inverted, that's why if you run the game in a 4:3 in a widescreen monitor everything is rendered fine.

This should really be stickied. I hadn't played this since I bought the retail version on release. Played it on a 4:3 monitor back then. Bought a steam key for cheap a couple of days ago to add to my collection and it's great to see it working now on 16:9. Thanks OP!

Thanks, this works. Unfortunately any resolution greater that 2048 px just causes visual garbage.

Yea its not real great but its a lot better than some games out there in terms of gameplay and functionality. Like how I just bought Spore and it was a waste of $5 because of crashes and other in-game bugs that make it unplayable.
