The problem is that this game is awful by design. Besides the cool visuals, literaly nothing is good in this game.
The mechanincs are intentionally designed to be as slow and finnicky as humanly possible. And everything is built around these awful mechanics. (The puzzles, the specific enemy encounters) Even the movement and the sprinting in the game feels awful to do. No wonder it flopped like hell. The Glaive's charge mechanic should be straight off removed and made the default strength of the glaive.
