How To fix the Widescreen Vert+ and HUD issues at 16:9

To fix the Vert+ and HUD issues at 16:9 Resolutions try this worked for me on windows 8.1 & 10 x64

1: Open
\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Sector\Configs\DS.cfg
in notepad or your preferred text editor.

2: Insert the following line under the
[Windows_Config,/Types/Config]
section:
Graphics.DisplayAspectRatio=FullScreen4x3
and Save.

Your config file should look something like the one below(remember if you change ingame setting after this fix it will reset so set up the settings you want first and apply fix, can also set the file to read only)

[Windows_Config,/Types/Config]
App.DefaultCmdLine="-nop -client -silent"
Client.KeyBindings=Windows_KeyBindings
Graphics.DisplayAspectRatio=FullScreen4x3
Graphics.FullScreenSizeX=1920
Graphics.FullScreenSizeY=1080
Sound.EnableEAX=0

[Windows_KeyBindings,/Types/Input/KeyBindings]

[Xbox360_Config,/Configs/DS.cfg/Windows_Config]

Gave it a try today and I can also confirm that it does work.

It fixed the resolution and stuff but I have no sound now.

The fix has nothing to do with the sound settings so does not affect the sound as the only sound setting in the config is "Sound.EnableEAX=0" And it is set "0" by default. Try deleting the config file and running the game again so it creates a new config file.
