LAN Doesn't Work
I'm trying to play FlatOut 2 over LAN, but when we try it, nothing shows up in the list, even if we both try to host it. It worked perfectly fine over my other friends house, but it suddenly doesn't work.

Any suggestions? We tried running Steam as administrator, but it did nothing.

1- Go to Network Connections ( You can do this pressing windows key + r and typing ncpa.cpl ) or click Start then Control Panel. Once in Control Panel select Network and Internet and then from the following menu click on the Network and Sharing Center item. Select Change adapter settings from the menu on the left.

2-Disable any device other than your internet or wifi cable (Right-click on device item and then select Disable).

3-Run the game again. Its works for me :)

I want to buy this game for LAN parties, but then I saw this thread. Does it work perfectly or are there the others who have the same problem??

Actually, it didn't work at one friends' house, but surprisingly did at another's. I'm not sure why really, but more than likely something was screwed up with my first friend's internet.

Either way you should be fine.

You can try using gameranger, I use it to play with my friends, online though
