Load error "Fatal error"

I downloaded this game, and it played fine the first time I fired it up. Ran it for about two hours then quit the game. Second time I start it up, it played as normal until i selected a race. momentarily a blue screen with code flashed and my game crashed. now everytime I try to start the game it says : Load error "Fatal error". I have tryed un-installing and re-instaling but has the same problem. What can I do to fix this?

Well, your graphics card probably just fried. Can you play other games well?

yes, I have no problem with the first flatout, left 4 dead, left 4 dead 2, bioshock, or fallout nv. those are just the few games I have played sence then.

Perhaps you have already fixed it, but if not, you should go to the game folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\FlatOut 2) and right click flatout2.exe, go to properties and go to compatibility, and select Run this program in compatibility mode for: and put Windows XP (Service pack 3)
