Why are Jack Benton and Sophia Martinez always the best bots/npcs/whatever?

They´re always at the top 3. In street class Sophia has a OP car. Jack Benton has always the fastest cars. Am I right or is that not the case for you?

Yeah Sophia tend to piss me off a lot in derby class (only done that so far). She's racing with the first beat-down junk car that has like 1/3 of the stats of my car and yet she always catches up or, when she's lead, she's super-hard to catch-up to. Railroading and rubberbanding at it's finest... Still is a great game though :)

Yeah, I often end up having to ram Sophia off the road to push her down a few positions :p
Other than that though, I love that there are so many variables in the game so I often end up being able to chill on the last race because the points are spread out quite evenly. In most racing games there are fewer variables like big crashes and debris being scattered about the track so one AI ends up being second place almost every time.

Yep, that is my experience exactly. I get my revenge on Sophia during the demolition derby. That little Chili she drives is a sitting duck for my Blaster. :)

Sophia has very ♥♥♥♥♥♥, weak, vulnerable cars on Derby and Race classes.
In Street I guess she just got fed up and bought the truck to give payback to everyone o.o

also... jack dont have the fastest car, katie have, but katie dont know very much how to drive her car, while jack knows how to drive his more less fast car

sofia in street class is the most piece of garbage pile of junk i've ever seen in a video game. you'll be going fast in a super fast car in first place and suddenly she comes blasting past you and never makes a mistake. if she ends up passing you, most of the time i just restart the race

I found out (at least on the psp) Sofia in street class will often ♥♥♥♥ up right at the end of the race enough to get past her.

Here is how drivers work:

Sofia: May have the weakest cars except in Street class but she knows how to drive her cars and doesn't want anyone standing in her way,including you,the player.

Jack: Almost as Sofia if not even more annoying cause his cars has high handling and is hard to push him off the road.

Jason: Aggressive driver but makes mistake,some in which he won't recover to fight for a podium or a win.

Katie: Good driver in general but doesn't understand how to control her cars so in the later car classes she is slower.

Sally: A casual driver but gets mad if anyone rams into her,then she goes fast. She is reckless in the Street class as she wrecks her car often if not the first one to do so.

Frank: Is the worst driver in races but a beast in Derbies.

Ray: A Sunday driver,very slow except in 1 out of 1000 races he`ll go competitive and may even win but as soon as he makes a mistake,it`s over.
