controller not working

I have an xbox controller that works on ALL my other steam games. Cant get it to work on flatout 2 no matter what Ive tried so far. Anybody have an idea?

Just go into big picture mode you can set up the controller for any game any way you like, I just used one some one else already made it works great

It actually does work but only when you are racing...not in menu screens for some reason

In order to play FlatOut 2 with Controller follow these steps;
1 - Plug in the controller
2 - Start the game
3 - Options -> Controller Options -> Choose Controller (Where 'keyboard' is written)
4 - Then go into 'Configure Controls'
5 - There has to be keyboard control assignments. If you want to play with controller (gamepad), you have to reassign all the commands. You can do this by clicking the target command then pressing the controller button that you want to use for the command. The you are good to go. But do not forget that you have to use keyboard in the menu sections. When the race start, you can use the controller.
So this is the way how to use controller in FlatOut 2

I got my XBOX ONE controller working but whenever i get a nitrous boost it automatically activates without me pressing the button to do so. Has anyone experienced this problem?

In options It shows keyboard and doesn't change to anything else. Even though my controller is plugged in and recognized by windows. It worked before in this game. Any ideas as to why it's not working now?

i am sorry that i am this late,but i face the same issue,i played this game 2 years ago with the same controller i have now and it worked fine but i tried to play again today and the did does not even recognize the controller in the first place...
