crashes on intro screen after 30 mins played
So i had played this game for 30minutes and made it to level 2.
I came back after work on Sunday to play it and now when the logo for "GAMES WORKSHOP" starts playing it freezes on the first frame and then crashes. I verified the game cache ok and all was working fine until i tried to load my savegame. That is when it crashed for the first time.

I thought about deleting my savedata, but that should cause this!!

Any ideas how to get the game running again?

id just delete and start again, sounds like corruption in some config or save.

If it keeps occuring try some system maintenance check for drive errors and memory errors etc.

Any other system errors or issues or with any other games etc?

Could try deleting the configs etc.

uninstall, and reinstall after rebooting

drivers etc etc,

Thats all i can think of

Steam - Help - System Information
Copypasta it here, thats a good starting point.
ok

THIS IS WHY THIS GAME HAS MIXED REVIEWS.

I have 3 hours on this game. I played for 30 minutes to an hour MAX. This game has been crashing before loading properly since then and to be honest i've done these things:

1. verified game cache
2. checked video card drivers
3. reinstalled whole game (32GB)
4. removed appdata folders for the game
5. rebooting PC each time (obviously)

with zero improvement. I find it funny the same thing happened to the friend i tried to play with. Never got to play with him at all. so my experience has been solo on level 1. Never saw any more of what should have been an impressive game..... We both have over 2 hours and the game is completely inoperable. INTERESTING.

I appreciate your trying to help, but we already tried all of that and it has not helped at all.
I run many games on this PC, often running VR and other performance heavy applications. I have zero problems with any other game or program on this PC. It was custom built and is less than 6 months old.

Deleting the configs in the appdata folder did allow it to get to the brightness setup screen, but as soon as you try to adjust (as instructed) it crashes in the usual way.

Ok but you didnt say you tried any of that.

What does it say in the crash log?
Or in windows eveent log around the time of the crash?

Do you use any known conflicting applications that conflict with EnrealEngine4?
Are you Overclocking, have all the prereqs been install as admin and running the game as admin?

Try those things.

There was no crash log as it never makes it to any menu, no crash logged in event viewer.
I develop on Unreal Engine 4 and never had any problems there.

I don't use any overclocking on this PC for stability reasons.

**UPDATE: I began playing the game today. It now works.
This whole thing was a total mystery and i hope it does not happen again.

To anyone saying this game was easy, they ony played singleplayer.
Multiplayer is so much harder, especially with only two people. (no medic)
