Graphics aren't bad, challenge is there if you crank up difficulty. Battle brothers AI is.. Manageable, not good, not totally bad. Enemies attack in a few different ways, not hard to learn patterns. Weaponry is very satisfying, IMO. I recommend sp special mode, where you can change class.
I'm a bit teared here, because I'm of the few that love this game and feeling it gives me when I play as a tactical dreadnought. Well immerse myself.
It's a short playthrough, if you are a completionist then you will definitely sink a few hours in.
Get it if it's on sale
I know nothing about Warhammer universe. I just saw the Enhanced Edition trailer and was intrigued, because I liked the way it looked.
If I end up giving in and getting a game, this should be it as it has a stronger SP component.
Single player campaign is one of those "once you've played it, you've played it" but the varying difficulty options make it interesting. Special Missions do offer a decent level of replayability currently but with the Enhanced Edition on the near horizon (FINALLY!) that'll boost replayability to a much better level, with in game renown points and full weapon/armour customisation.
Here is your sale ;)
That being said, if you DO get into the universe, there is a ton of backstory hidden in this game - meaning not shoved in your face via mission briefings, cutscenes and ship logs displays.
I count at least 7 different plot lines going on, including but not limited to: an adeptus, a blood angel(s), an unsanctioned psyker (that survives surprisingly long but ends up nid food, or actually a nid)....
Why?
Well the bad points are long walking , very short sprinting time, melee felt not so good compared to vermintide 2(weapons have almost no weigh, while ranged do feel good kinda but sounds could be louder) , weapons are fun to use especially the flamethrower,
But biggest minus is there is no ammo system. That means melee is most of the time redundant. Enemies make too much damage on you despite lore wise their weapons shouldnt even penetrate your armor and only stagger you.
sold out :(
Once finished you can replay the game to experience a same same boring pattern of moving, stopping to shoot and moving further to shoot again.
Only thing that makes this game intersting is a feeling and look of space hulk. But I suppose it is only attractive for wh40k fans. And why the hell anyone would like to spend money for this if he can just watch thousands of videos on youtube?
Comming soon EE will bring some changes but mostly for multiplayer so... really, don`t bother.
I know the EE trailer looks cool. The pre release trailer also made a lot of people jump at the hype train... and most of them jumped off it after 1 week of playing.
