Tech-Priests or Techmarines
I want to ask you guys about tutorial and your safe zone (psy-gate room). Couple of Adeptus Mechanicus supervise and maintain your armour, weapon etc. Shouldn't they be some Dark Angels Techmarines ? That would be more lore correct right ? It's just another devs facilitation for this game, or it is something like... armour = technology = tech-priests. This teleport should lead you to this Battle Barge from intro so definietly Techmarines. Your thoughts ?

Maybe you are right, but Techmarines also maintain chapter forge nad all ships and vehicles day to day (when they not in war zone). I recently found information about Techamrines are never introduced to Inner circle or Deatchwing so maybe this is the reason. Terminator armours are precious relics of Space Marines chapters. Mechanicus on Battle Barge ?. I can understand presence of this guys on Imperial Navy ship.Maybe laziness of devs to put there Adeptus Mechanicus.
Thanks for your respond.

Thanks for your opinion - you are only who responded.:steamhappy: I clearly understand that all Deatchwing marnies are terminators etc. but you know all of this conspiration about the Fallen and nobody knows this only Deatchwing besides COUPLE OF TECH PRIESTS FROM MARS OR ANOTHER FORGE WORLD whos mantain our gear from mission to mission. My point is that we better trust our own guys (same knowledge) than some half machines from other world signed to our couse (maybe spies). Sharing knowledge with our own brothers who are sworn to the same cause is better than some outsiders.
Sorry for bringing this discussion for Lore-correctness level mate.

Techmarines are not allowed into the Deathwing because their training brings their complete loyalty to the Chapter to question. Techmarines are trained on Mars and are required to swear certain oaths of fealty to the Cult Mechanicus that are kept secret to all outside their order in exchange for the Mechanicum's arcane knowledge. These oaths can sometimes conflict with the mission or credo of the techmarine's parent chapter.

A techmarine who learns of the Fallen, for example, may be obligated by their oaths to Mars to preserve that knowledge of the Fallen and present it to the Adeptus Mechanicus. Such a thing obviously could not be allowed within the Inner Circle.

I would assume that the tech-adepts that tend to the Deathwing's armor are a combination of servitors and insular Chapter serfs that see very little outside of their workshop on the battle-barge.

Your answer is very good for me and ends this discussion, but this could be showed more clearly. This guys look like normal Tech-priests. I mean devs could do this models different more based on lore you described.

Thanks for your contribution to this thread and for sharing your knowledge.

I never minded that it looked like tech priests tending to your armor. But I always assumed that thats all they did, tended armor, nothing else, nothing more. They hardly see the light of day outside the workshop, and they aren't privvy to mission details. Honestly never had me wondering twice. Tech marine on the other hand - yeah I agree with the earlier points. They either tended to the rest of the chapter fleet or were not deployed on this fallen-related mission due to loyalty concerns. The tech priests or adepts whatever you refer to them as seem more brain dead to the bigger picture around them.

Interesting.

But I am just glad that they show more then just the workbenches and an empty room! 8-)

They realy don't look like Ad-mech If you look closely. (but have red robes - Mars color) More like very mechanised servitors (not much flesh but it could be brain only). So I assume @Laserfrog have right they are some chapter serfs not Techpriest.

By the way in tutorial dialogues they don't have names or ranks but serial numbers for example WL071 but on their torsos are Ad-mech skulls and symbols. Pretty confusing.
