what is the correct pronunciation of a word ''Xenos''
I realy finds it strange how they pronounce the word ''Xenos'' in this game I mean I was pretty much used to it how they pronounce it in a DoW series and I think that is the correct way since even a google translator say it this way. In this game it sounds more like a '' Zenos '' and in DoW it is more like a '' Zeenos ''

The Greeks pronounce it like "Kseh-nos" and the translation is "stranger".
Thanks for taking the time to post this interesting greek word relationship. It is no doubt an interesting ancient word, with its epistemological origins.

Likewise the word "robot" is originally an Old Slavic word meaning "slave," it's a cousin word of "arbeit" from German. You see that geezer in Sonic, Dr. Robotnik? According to Czech language robotnik is "forced worker."

It's either;

Ze-nos

Or

Zen-os.

I usually go with the former.

You can assume that in the galaxy there are many different accents spoken. Maybe „zenos“ is referring to the old Caliban accent still used by the Dark Angels?

I guess, if you listen to this word spoken by a Scott, Welshman or Texan you get three different results.

Not also forgetting the languages that pronounce X's like an English H.

Zee-nos with the O possessing the long O sound and both syllables equally accented. There are a handful of times I have heard it pronounced with a short E sound as in Zeh-nos with a long O sound and equal sylabic accents.

Doesn’t the narrator pronounce it in the game? The narrator also narrates a lot of the black library audio books, so I would go with his pronunciation.

Edit: just checked Eisenhorn Xenos on my audible account, which is narrated by Toby Longworth (who does the narration in Deathwing), he pronounces it "Zeenos".

I pronounce it Zee-nos with the "o" pronounced the same as "scott" and a hard "s" like when you say "stupid"
I often say Zee-nos, but like Zeh-nos better. Sounds.. Mightier. idk

The Zee-nos pronunciation is my personal preference.
