does anyone know where i can see what is written on the weapons? Finishing a sword for a LARP event.

Ya. I found that one. The guns are harder to see. I now the punisher cannon says " I am the punishment you have earned. Something something".

nice work. i havent tried making my own yet, maybe next year. I have made some small pieces of armour though, construction paper and mod-podge is surprisingly durable to the point of it being hard to break with a bat.. i just have a polypropylene sparring sword i wanna decorate so its not just solid black and i wanted to write something badass down the blade before i put a diamond coat on it. kinda want it to look nice since im trying to go to the voyage north this year.

now i have a question to ask is it possible to make a imperialguardsmen outfit out of motorcross gear it's for next year comic con and i was just wondering?

yes you could. you'll just need to bulk up the chestguard a little bit so it isnt that thin plastic. you could either modify an open faced helm or full faced. open faced would work good with a basic painters respirator and full faced just needs some hose/tubing to look like a high altitude/toxic enviro helmet. or just go to a sporting goods store that sells airsoft gear and get a helmet there, they usually sell military/swat style that is close to cadian, just put an aquila on it and your good.

Thanks for the info i do have a Black M2 airsoft Helmet and can do a BlackWatch Imperial Guardsmen .

perfect. now you just need a lasgun. rifle is a little tricky unless your just gonna go autorifle, but ive found lots of water pistols that make great laspistols when painted. although ive heard alot of comicons are banning firearm props recently. id prefer if they just inspected them and then issued the carrier some sorta barrel tag/"license", so they could have the prop but still have it look real for photos. although i suppose a scifi enough gun wont be a problem, just go as a weapon specialist and build a plasma gun

Their are Nerf weapons that do kinda resemble the Lazgun.

Hmmm, I think it good moment to suggest some further improvements. You say, you wanna plasmagun ? Nerf wpn is the most accepted range "weapon" in LARPs, second is AirsofGun (eye protection , only used outside the town in battlezones, while town security use Nerfs - talking about the Oldtown). Am I right you are using something like PePaKuRa Designer to make paper 3D pieces of armour and then cover it with layers of paper and some glue or resin ? I see no problem with covering nerf gun with plasmagun body. Imperial Plasmagun is soo bulky that you should easly fit it over Nerf. You can also connect Nerf trigger with some electronics to make visual effect (e.g. blue laser +/- 50mW with some lense , which will disperce the beam- into cone shaped form)
It consider it possible as EPP foam sword I have shown to you, was allowed by orgs,while having:
- plexiglas tube filled with tonic,
-UV laser in handle , which was shooting it's beam trough tonic ( quinine glows, when is bombarded by UV spectrum, looking like some energy beam )
-entire sword was strong enough to bash ppl with it , while still having spots with exposed plexiglas. Anyway plexi deep enough to eliminate risk of hitting someone with it.

BTW if you have some workshop ( as little as grinder, sander, table dril, handheld riveter), which you can use .... I suggest steel soluction instead of carton armor ^^ PC Tower is great for that.

. I think im gonna use it as the core of a power sword. gonna widen the blade, add a skull pommel and aquila hilt.

This Training Sword is made from polypropylene with highest densitiy possible, so it is automatically rejected as LARP weapon. My was made from EPP ( Expanded PolyPropylene ) so it is very light but stil durable and possible to be accepted for LARP game. As I red about mod-podge it is just school glue (sure adhesive , probably acrylic based ) with more water. It won't stick to polypropylene in small pieces. Instead it must create coccon-like layer around, which holds from all directions/ vectors of force. Additonally , you will simply create morph training sword into blunt baseball like bat meele weapon. It will be hard to achieve certain shape, while still ensuring it is solid and won't break into pieces.
Polypropylene works great with Cyanoacrylates like Super Glue. That means you can buy mentioned Training Sword and add small and large pieces cut from raw sheet of polypropylene and paint it even with nitro-based paints and varnish, when mod-podge with paper layers will degrade.
So my suggestion will be using :
-some cheap plastic or wood core + EPP foam - one piece body,
- Training Sword + EPP foam- pieces turning it into power sword,

I used soldering iron with handmade diffirent shaped soldering tips + piece of circuit board as nonconduct fence. I will made pictures later.
