Completely different games. This is more like Vermintide, except with more tactics and ranged weaponry.

Big difference is Space Marine is third person, Deathwing first person. Instead of Orks, you fight genestealer cultists (at least no other enemies have been revealed). You fight on a Space Hulk in Deathwing compared to the planet under Ork siege (and chaos). Rather than captain of the Ultramarines, you play as a librarian in The Dark Angels first company.

Campaign in Deathwing will have nine missions with seven ships, averaging about an hour each (dev claim, 45-90min per mission). It is darker and more "jump-scare" than space marine's atmosphere - that could be a little subjective and Space Marine had its suprises.

Space Marine is a great game, if anyone hasn't played that and is interested - it will probably be on sale this winter - in a couple weeks. I'm not huge on reccomendations but Space Marine is one of those great games to play if you get the chance.

Scariest thing in this game is sitting through the loading time only to be disconnected from a game.

Nope being ten seconds away from extraction and then getting a fatal error is the worst

We can't compare singleplayer yet, since it was disabled durring the beta. We only got to play 1 "chapter" (aka level) of the co-op multiplayer.

Lel, that is utter BS
It's nothing like Spacemarine, except for background Lore. And I don't mean that insultingly, I liked spacemarine a lot.

Unfavorably. Space Marine was good.
