Besides, I thought that the Scriptors of the Guardians of the Covenant wear blue armor like the ones from the Dark Angels.
BA are the new nid nemesis. Just got done reading Devastation of Baal. Fantastic read.
Well "Devastation of Baal" happen after the Battle of Macragge so the Ultramarine should be first but maybe they can add a joint operation between the Blood Angels and the Tyrannic War Veterans
Indeed, Ultramarines were the first chapter to face tyranid threat. Their background is bigger regarding fights against genestealers. Then... it would be logic they appear first (Even if I do prefer BA). But, anyway... I speak for nothing, I don't think devs will make a DLC with others chapters (except DA successors in EE).
Space Hulk Vengeance Of The Blood Angels: historically the world's greatest PC game in the world in the history of ever
The 1st edition board game, which predates WH40K itself (and thus the smurfs) featured red marines, I mean Blood Angels.
Officiated by later editions. The "Sin of Damnation" and all that.
Tomatoes before blueberries.
---------------------
In all honesty though I just hope Streum On racks up some good cash to bring more chapters, hulks and other DLC to us. This game rocks and I want moar! So I don't even care if they give us Angry Marines.
Space Hulk first edition was released 1989, but Rogue Trader (Warhammer 40k) 1987. On the cover of the Space Hulk game ther was indeed a picture with Blood Angel Termis, on the one of Rogue Trader there was that iconic picture of the Crimson Fists fighting the Orcs on Rynn's World, which later got a nice rework.
So the first Space Marine Chapters introduced to the public were the Crimson Fists, than the Space Wolves and Whitescars (they had a special company called Souldrinkers... interesting) introduced in Chapter Approved Astronomicon. The Ultramarines (13th. legion) were according to the first edition fluff traitors and banished to the Eye, but that was later banished from the lore. A lot of things mentioned in the first edition were later discarded.
Ultramarines traitors?????? OMG!!! Incredible!! And so fun since now, autors made them an irritable egghead chapter! :-D
Back in the days of the Horus Heresy and Imperium Secundus their homeworld Sotha was the site of that mini Astronomican, called Pharos. To protect this xenos device the planet was discretely fortified by the 199th Ultramarines Aegida Company and a few Imperial Fists and loyal Iron Warriors. Otherwise that planet was an Agri-world inhabited by ignorant farmers, not aware of all that drama.
Nevertheless the Night Lords attacked it and in an desperate attempt to kill all of them, the Iron Warrior Warsmith Dantioch overloaded the Pharos. This extremely powerful beacon got recognized... from the Tyranids. Many years later the 199th Company and their comrades from the Fists and the Iron Warriors were allowed to bear the scythes as a symbol of honour for defending those ignorant farmers and after even more years the Scythes of the Emperor were born as an extra chapter.
Tenthousand years in the future, after an endless, boring travel the Tyranids arrived to say "Hello" on Nidish and shake some... claws.
Lesson: Call it SETI or call it Pharos... inviting strangers can end up quite strange ;D
