I'm not sure what the pitchfork crowd is going on about. The cats look beautiful and mesmerizing, if the developers are using AI they SHOULD. AI is a great creative tool and can make games immensely more beautiful, more intelligent and way more interesting.

Yes I actually WANT a video game where an NPC is a character played by Chat GPT, feeling like I'm talking to a real character and not being fed the same 3-4 prerecorded lines by some terrible cheap voice actor. Yes I want an endless cosmetics and character generator powered by Midjourney. It would be endless creativity and high quality!

We need MORE AI in video games! Not less! It's only going to make video games much better.

Go ahead hate this game and try to destroy it before you even know anything about it. Just based on your political and ideological dogmatic hatred of "AI." I'm gonna wishlist it and support developers who push games forward. Not stuck in the past.

I mean it's a brand new technology at it its most early stages. Early 3D games looked terrible as well. Now look at them? You can't judge a tech in its inception. AI has great potential to at least help with rote tasks like map assembly, texture building, or even interesting quest designs (ChatGPT often writes far more interesting stories than Bethesda and their "Radiant Quest" nonsense.)

I want to see AI used in good, creative ways that make video games better. If some devs use it in ways that result in bad games, I'm with you. But as any tool, it can be used well, or poorly. And in order to see this, we need to let some developers try, not trash them for even trying.

If it's not a real game I will condemn it too, no problem. But I will wait for the game to actually release before making my opinion on it.
