Metro Gravity

Request for Accessibility Options
TL;DR:

I’d like the game to have some accessibility options. Specifically for me, I’d like options to hold the parry button to block without the need to match timing, or an option to turn off damage to the player altogether. (I’ve seen accessibility options like this in other games, and really appreciated it.)

Why:

Really loved the game for the most part. Some minor issues here and there, but I enjoyed the traversal and puzzle solving.

But then parrying was introduced, and that makes it impossible for me to advance any further. It took me a long time to open the gate locked by the laser-shooting enemy, but I somehow managed to do it. But the boss was impossible.

I have dyspraxia, which means that my body has trouble doing what my brain is telling it to do. In other words: I’m clumsy, uncoordinated, and I have no rhythm.

I know it might be counterintuitive — given that the rhythm elements are supposed to be a major part of the game — but I was having a good time up to the point before they were introduced, and was disappointed that I couldn’t play more (at least in the full game; I assume the demo would end after the boss).

So the accessibility options I suggested above would be the easiest-to-implement way to help me play the rest of the game when it’s released. Thanks 👍

No worries, I don't have dyspraxia and even then the boss is basically impossible to me, even in best of conditions the timing seems to be to the absolute microsecond, which is a shame because it's such a good and beautiful game. I could always hack it but I would feel dirty and I would like to keep moving forward legitimately, just too hard for me, I can only imagine how thoroughly impossible it is to you. Good thing this is still in development so the dev may hear you and do a thing.
