Ho do you fix "Steam initialization failure"?

I played the game perfectly fine before but today when I tried to launch the game it let me get to the part where it says play and when I click it it says "Steam initialization failure". My system specs are at this link http://freetexthost.com/hc2bfmpefa

i fixed all i needed to do was restart computer
