Warden's letter
So I was doing a riot, killed a few guards, took their keys, and all of a sudden, got thrown into solitary for stealing keys when the warden told me to stop killing his guards and the reinforcements are 70 seconds away. Is there some kind of force that teleports me into solitary each time I do something wrong or it's just a bug?

EDIT: And another one:
I was playing on shankton, and got a letter for "Digging holes in walls"
It's the 2nd day, I barely had time to make up an escape plan, I was stocking up stuff, and digged no hole, or damaged anything, I only placed a poster in the air and removed it.

You should only be able to place (use) posters on opened up sections of wall. When a poster is removed it creates an invisible 'alert' spot (because it means you have an open wall). This alert spot stays under a wall is placed back on it.

Did you place a poster on a complete wall (brick tile) or an empty wall (black tile) ?

I placed it in the middle of my cell with no wall

If you steal keys, the warden sends you to solitary. The "teleporting" is just for ease. Technically inbetween the time you get the letter and get out of solitary, the guards have subdued you and you have spent three days in solitary...but playing all that out would be boring :)

You think they can subdue you when you get ALL the prisonners to riot, having a plated suit, nunchuks, have knocked out half of the guards? I mean the fact that if you have prepared a getaway and only needed keys, getting arrested instantly is kind of a pain

I think that you should get 99% heat when you have to get arrested, instead of being instant arrested, but we get out of the subject and it has been discussed on other threads.

Even in the smallest prison there are 5 guards, which is too much to handle even with +3 defense and 5/5 attack. Riots don't happen when you steal keys. They only happen between two people at random. Plus, the game isn't meant to perfectly mimic being in prison.

I handled 3 guards alone so it isn't too hard.

You forget though, they have back-up. When we get knocked out, we can assume back-up was called immediately.

The biggest thing we need to remember though is that the game isn't meant to mimic real life perfectly; rather, it's meant to played more like a game, with rewards for certain thins and consequences for certain things, even if it isn't very realistic. However a more realistic prison might make a good workshop ;)

You know that backup gets called, it is supposed to take 100 seconds to come?
Not have teleporters.

That's why I said we can assume back-up was called immediately. Maybe someday they'll have a better explanation, but the game isn't supposed to mimic real-life. Stealing keys from guards would make the game way too easy, so the game needs a defense against it.

So that is why guards decide that instead of comming in a plane they use teleporters to instantly come. And it isn't supposed to mimic real life but it's still annoying. And I was doing a riot , being sniped while trying to use the keys seem pretty much enough of a defence

We're not really sure what happens, but the point is, you can't steal keys. It's not that hard to work around.
