Game crashing when loads (via Epic Games)

OVERVIEW:
I got the game on the Epic Games Store. But it just doesn't work. When I load it up, it just crashes... or just closes.

STEPS:
1. Get the game from the Epic Games Store
2. Load the game (doesn't matter if it's from the exe or the launcher)

RESULT:
It loads for a split second then closes

EXPECTED RESULT:
Doesn't close right after.

I know you will most likely won't see this but I can't report it on Epic as far as I know.

We recommend that if you are launching the game from the exe, that you try and do so through the Epic Launcher instead to see if this helps.

1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R
2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field.
3. Click OK
4. Click Save All Information
5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt)

Do you think we have time to even select a language? I just open it and in the small window, i just drag it and hope. Doesn't always work tho.
Edit - Even after I select a language, I still have to do this.

Yeah it;s not your PC don't worry.
I have a "solution", however, that works some of the time.
Go into the files and then properties for TheEscapists_EFGIS and under compatibility tick the box that says run this program as administrator.
Do the dragging thing and try changing the size of the window and there's a chance that it might not crash. You also have to launch directly from epic games, not any shortcut. I got it about once or twice in about 8 trials so if you want this could let you play until it is patched, which should be soon enough.

This does work (as workaround), you need drag "console" screen. And you need do it every time you start the game.

In general the same problem, but I have some sort of solution:

#1: My game loads until the title screen, after that it closes itself.
#2: Now I delete settings.cfg (C:/user/<username>/documents/The Escapists)
#3: That causes the game to repeat the language selection and show the dlc news of the game.
#4: Now I am able to play this one session (didn't started a game yet), but if I close the game and start it one more time, we came back to #1.

I try to play the first prison, maybe it works on that way. In every case I give feedback if it works or not.

I had enough. I bought the escapists on discount on steam for funny money (about 5$) - everything works fine in 100%.
I recommend doing this to everyone.

Back in business, the described way works. Well, if the player wants to delete settings.cfg every time he wants to play the game, it is a way to solve the problem. Anyway, hope there will be another way soon...

None of your fixes work. Instead of googling a fix from random people on the internet, why don't you as the developer figure it out and patch the EGS version?
