If you'd like, I can even detail my whole escape.
*Edit*
Never mind! There's more to it than just getting past the wall in this prison!
You'll probably need to get a sturdy shovel, with that, you can dig through in a hell of a lot less than 50 seconds. Once you're outside, throw on a guard outfit, cover the hole with dirt, and then you should be safe, assuming you've covered to other end of the hole.
That's what Chris wanted us to trip up on... I've only found two methods of getting past that Checkpoint so far.
I ended up getting the staff key, guard uniform and the ID papers. Signed the papers and escaped last night. What other way have you found? Digging under the checkpoint?
I'm currently in the process of trying to chip through, or see if I can actually knockout Checkpoint Charlie.
I just dug underneath the barricade.
I would go back to check, but I can't really get all the way out there and dig a hole again on a new save. It'd take too long, and I don't really have the time to do another full fledged escape.
Spoiler
They are sitting on a desk in a building at the top of the map. The building is locked w/ a red key if you don't want chip at the wall to get in
