Ziplines... What are they used for...

I have recently taken it upon myself to escape from HMP Irongate (The hardest prison) and I get the feeling I need to use everything I can to make my dreams a reality.
But what do zipline hooks do?
I have made one, but the "Hook" part is nagging at me, there is nothing worse than trying to escape then realising you dont know how to use your tools. (Consequense: )
I have explored every crafting note I can, no zipline wire.
So how the hell am I supposed to use a zipline hook without a wire?
What do I use as a wire?
Where do I use it?
SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Without giving away too much, you don't make the wire. There's a wire on the roof. You can use the hook on that wire to put yourself beyond the electric fence.

Don't. There are plenty of people out there who can't seem to comprehend the fact that you cannot cut, dig or chip a wall during daytime outside. These are the kinds of people who still cannot escape Center Perks. You're far ahead of most other players.

Yeah, I cant escape center perks. Can I have a hint to how to actually escape D:
Also, I can't get a guard to die. I need his keys, and yes I have putty and molten plastic

Lift weights to get your strength up and get a weapon. The guard will be knocked out in 1 hit.

You can use a cup of molten chocolate (chocolate+cup+lighter) to beat a guard instantly. It´s what I usually do. Select the cup in your inventory (the cursor will become purple) and then click on the guard. Very useful!!!

And a tip for Center Perks: stand up on your desk and you´ll discover the ventilation system... ;)

Heres what I did to escape on day one:
Woke up
Showed my face at rollcall for a second
Went and got 4 plastic knives
Ran to the employment office
Resigned
Ran into the Library
Chipped the wall next to the locked hallway until it was on 4% (Another hit woud break it)
Left my last fork there
Made a sheet rope and bed dummy
Got 4 plastic knives
Spent the rest of the day looking for Files (You need at least 1)
At rollcall, put my bed dummy in my bed
Run through rollcall to get to the library
Break the wall
Put it back when your in the hallway
Take the ladder up
Wait for lights out
SPRINT up the ladder, run to the edge of the building
Get down with your sheet rope
Run to the fence
Cut it
Run through
I escaped just before midnight and got the achevment "Day One" :D
