At the very least, Center Perks should be simple. You just need a guard uniform and files and duct tape for cutters and a bed dummy, as well as a way out of the building, then you'd be golden as long as you aren't cutting or digging in front of a guard. The rest is up to you.
And just to clarify, escaping from prison should NOT be easy. :)
The game is not hard, its about planning and foreward thinking.
The game is about the journey not the ending.. once you escape your save is deleted and time to choose another prison to start.
Almost all errors which get you busted (i havent found any gamebreaking bugs yet) are caused by the player. Forget your bed dummy..?
Its partially luck (read loot) driven.. I was in prison for 24 days.. had a lovely tunnel network, more loot that you could shake a stick at BUT in the end a guard got beaten in the showers so I copied his key, escaped that night. All my effort was in theory wasted. I could have done the same on day 4.. Play the game how you want to play.
But seriously, I know how difficult it can be to get used to the game, especially if you're a little impatient. It's a sandbox game, it's about learning and taking time to do things, and a lot of luck. Don't let the jibes and jokes get you down, just check out a video walkthrough and familiarize yourself with the game, soon you'll be complaining that it's too easy.
Candy is right, sometimes it really is just about dumb luck. You'll get the hang of it when you've spent more time understanding the game.
My advice to OP is put the game down and come back later. In my opinion this is the type of game you play almost compulsively.
Maybe eventually someone will make a spolier-free boot camp like map that teaches you a variety of tactics and consequences, because indeed some mechanics just don't make sense from a real world perspective.
edit* I see it now. A tutorial involving Jimmy Locke in his young days practicing a variety of tactics in an army base or something of the likes.
Omg so much want.
I'm kinda glad that we aren't attacking very much, it's just not a good attitude to have on any forum and honestly ganging up on someone's stupidity or mistakes just makes people look like little douches.
Even if he doesn't reply to the advice, it's better than him replying with some snarky or ungrateful comment. Maybe. Kinda. I 'unno.....
To be honest, I dunno why I'm bothering, I'm being released on bail tomorrow.
