By the time there are enough maps to be worthwhile there will likely be steam flash sales, etc. so you can probably get the PC version for only a couple of dollars assuming you're still into the game.
THE ONE WILL NOT HAVE THE PRISON EDITOR. IT WON'T BE GETTING MOD SUPPORT EITHER.
I insinuated above it won't have a prison editor (hense a reason for getting the PC version eventually). Reading comprehension and an understanding of how to turn off cap locks are apparently not within your abilities.
There's no release date for PC either. :P
Please don't resort to insults to my grammatical errors when I'm just doing my best to help. It can be confusing.
Also, I would like to point out one thing in your post.
You state this like it's much better than keyboard and mouse, (note that that is an opinion, not fact) and as such, is debatable. However, I personally prefer keyboard and mouse. You didn't mention I wouldn't be able to use my precious keyboard and mouse. If you're going to mention things based on opinion and also blatantly obvious you should atleast add in the other blatantly obvious thing.
in this case, the fact that the xbox one has controller support. OF COURSE IT HAS CONTROLLER SUPPORT, IT'S A CONSOLE.
Also, I would just like to point out that it does slightly offend me that you used insults such as not being able to read and having a broken caps lock button.
I was trying to help those who would be confused as in your post you DID NOT mention clearly the facts which I had stated.
Reading comprehension has nothing to do with grammer...
Exactly. One can infer that by recommending the PC once there are enough maps to make it worthwhile, such as
you can assume the Xbox One will not have the map editor. This goes back to reading comprehension.
Which is because
Again, he asked for my opinion...
There aren't any plans currently to add controller support to the PC version of The Escapists.
The games look different because they were made in different game engines, which effects the way the graphics look. The PC version was made in Fusion, whilst the console versions were made in Unity.
Using a Joypad makes it better for me anyway,
(besides the better graphics and ui layout and sounds on xbox one)
Also why does the xbox one have 4 bonus maps yet the pc has 8 bonus maps?
(their not workshop maps)
where's the missing extra 4 maps for the xbox one?
Because of the limitations of the game engine I used, T17 had to create the game from scratch in Unity and make several modifications for it to work better on console. The entire game was built around controller support (e.g. that's why the HUD inventory was moved) and they updated the low res retro-look visuals for playing on larger TVs.
Nothing is 'missing' from either version, they just have slight differences ;)
The xbox one is missing the extra 4 bonus maps that's on the pc though.
Pc has 8 bonus maps, xbox one has 4 bonus maps.
